Plasterers Mate app for iPhone and iPad

This app has been designed for tradesmen by plasterers and associated trades such as dry-liners, tilers, painters. It is a pricing and invoicing tool primarily plastering/rendering/plaster-boarding that will speed up the process of quoting and invoicing for you and eliminate the need to return home after a day at work to begin the quoting or invoicing process. It can all be done with a click a button on your phone within seconds of finishing your days/weeks work or quoting for a job. All quotes and invoices can be saved to the phone/tablet and so with a click of a button you can see a project that you quoted for 6 months ago for example. Then should you get a call out of the blue (which we all know happens) there’ll be no need to check for that old quote book or back of a supplier invoice that you scribbled on in the van!

The app comes installed with pre-set rates for both domestic and commercial plastering which will allow the user to either see what the going rate is numerous types of plastering, plaster-boarding, metalling and rendering finishes or to use the rates to price their own works. And if the pre-set rates are not good enough? Input your own rates and use them instead or just give a lump sum price. Whichever works best for the user.

The quotes and invoices will be sent on a professional bill with your company heading on it or any header that you choose. Don’t have a header? Simply take a photo of some of your work and use that as header with one simple click or any other header that you deem suitable.

The system works by the user signing in and creating an account. From that point, they will be led to a portal whereby the can create a project. There is no limit on the number of projects that can be created or saved. For quoting, input the dimensions of each room and right a description of what must be done to each wall. You can add as many rooms as you want and walls within that room and when you are done the options are there to save the quote, delete the quote or send it using either: Our pre-set rates, your pre-set rates or override to send as a lump sum.

The above system also works for invoicing. Name the rooms and input the quants and then instead of sending a quote send an invoice. This is especially handy for those of you undertaking price work on site. Input each room or area with dimensions, pre-set all rates to those that you are being paid on the job and send as an invoice. You’ll always have a record what you’ve booked and invoiced to hand which is always handy when booking in, being asked to justify an invoice a few weeks later or for your own personal records of what you’ve booked so far on a job. Of course, if you have already used the quote section and sent one then it is just a matter of sending it as an invoice instead at the end of the project.

As an ex plasterer who has been through submitting measures and invoices at home from my PC on a Sunday night, numerous quotes throughout the week and having to transfer measures and quotes from paper to the computer the hope is that this app will go some way to eliminating the need for all this. Everything that you need will be on the phone and stored through an app for as long as you require, so no misplacing, no losing paper work and the ability to send a quote instantly while at the property or invoice on a Friday afternoon from site seems like something that I would have loved and worked for me.
